Anyone that ever set foot in Johnson Howard knew it was the best Lumber Yard in town and was also an entertainingly fun place to hang out ! What better way to commemorate this long gone Kalamazoo institution than with this wonderful coffee mug - since everyone hanging out at the yard was usually drinking coffee ! Sadly, the lumber yard and all of its buildings have disappeared but whip up a pile of sawdust and sip from this mug and you'll feel like you are back on North Edwards hanging with Clem, Herder, Kennedy, Mr. Van and the rest !

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
