John Bauer Flora 1915 Art Nouveau style CC1147 Postcard

Postcard inspired by a painting by Swedish painter and illustrator John Bauer (1882–1918). The picture shows a blonde young woman with very long braids. She's surrounded with ornamental flowers and leaves, fruit and birds. She's also holding a bunch of flowers in her arms, loosely, so some of them are already falling to the ground, or perhaps she's planting them? Surrounded with flowers and other living thing, the young woman seems immersed in a state of happiness. The woman looks a little like some of Bauer's princesses, but her name is, of course, Flora, as in the Roman flower goddess. The name of the painting is also Flora, it is dated 1915.
