Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone was a American soldier awarded the Medal of Honour for his actions at the Battle of Guadalcanal, during the Second World War. Before joining the Corps he served in the Army for three years. Sadly Basilone was killed during the Battle of Iwo Jima, after which he was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross. The design printed remarkably well on the shirt. I'm glad that there was a choice for grey shirts, as I prefer grey and dark shirts over white ones. Fabric is lightweight, yet does not feel thin or cheap. Colors turned out as I had expected from seeing it on my laptop display. I am satisfied with the image quality.
