Jewish Woman Selling Oranges Vintage Art Poster

This is a high quality Giclee art print of the oil painting by the Polish painter, Aleksander Gierymski (1881). The painting features a Jewish woman wearing a headscarf, dressed in modest, warm clothing. She is carrying two baskets with oranges. The city of Warsaw can be seen in the background. The original painting was stolen by German forces during World War II. On 26 November 2010, the painting was discovered in an antique market in Buxtehude, Germany, and it was consequently returned to Poland by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The painting has been archived and dedicated to the public domain.
