Jewel Geyser, Yellowstone National Park Poster

Jewel Geyser, Yellowstone National Park Poster

"Jewel Geyser at Rest, Biscuit Basin, Upper Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming" by Catherine Sherman. Between eruptions, Jewel Geyser emits steam into the cool air of an early September morning in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. In the distance, lush forests and hills create a striking contrast to the barren geothermal foreground. Jewel Geyser is a fountain geyser in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park. It is in the Biscuit Basin complex that includes Black Diamond Pool, Black Opal Spring, Wall Pool, Sapphire Pool, Shell Spring, Silver Globe Spring, Avoca Spring, West Geyser, the Mustard Springs, Coral Geyser, and Black Pearl Geyser. Originally named Soda Geyser by the Hayden Survey, but it was renamed to Jewel Geyser by Arnold Hague in 1887. Jewel Geyser is known for having a shiny, beaded sinter around its vent and erupting frequently. This photograph was taken in September 2022. A hydrothermal explosion happened around 10 a.m., July 23, 2024, in Biscuit Basin, which is a few miles north of the famous Old Faithful Geyser. No one was injured, but the boardwalk was damaged and debris from the blast covered the area. Biscuit Basin was closed for the rest of the summer. Similar blasts have happened in Biscuit Basin in 2009, 1991 and after the magnitude 7.2 Hebgen Lake earthquake 40 miles (64 kilometres) away in 1959.

My Bible verse postcard, turned out excellent. I love it and have it already framed. It was so reasonably priced for something done so well. Thank you to Zazzle and the artist! I thought it looked exactly like what I ordered. Perfect.

Poster is printed clearly, good quality . Inclusive of many prints . The shipping was the problem. Box was flimsy and item got bent.. only suggestion would have been to put in a canister or mark fragile. Printing was exactly as shown
