Jenny Nyström, Kälkåkande barn (Children sledding). Watercolour and gouache. Signed Jenny Nyström and dated 1910. The picture shows two children, a boy and a girl, at the top of a sled run. You can see the children have been sledding for quite a while, their clothes are snowy and perhaps a little bit wet. But I don't think they can feel the cold. Their happy faces tell us they're having a great time. Behind the children is a beautiful winter forest. Sunlight is shining through the snow covered tree branches. The source file for this painting is quite good and also very large, 4271 x 6447 pixels. This means that you can choose any poster size that you like, even the largest (XL). Digital restoration: some small adjustments mainly to lighting and contrast in order to optimize the picture for the best printing quality.
