Japanese Windflowers - Kitchen Towel

Japanese windflowers are one of my all-time favorite flowers. I first noticed and fell in love with them back when I was studying to be an art teacher at the University of Melbourne. On one of my walks around the city, I walked up the 'Paris end' of Collins Street and saw a long row of white windflowers gracefully bowing above the low stone fence of Scots Presbyterian Church. I became captivated with their long, thin stems and elegant blooms. I based my watercolour painting on some pink windflowers that grow in my parents' garden, adding a soft-blue background.
