Jean-François Janinet or François Janinet, born in Paris in 1752 and died there November 1, 1814, was a French engraver, active toward the end of the monarchy and during the French Revolution, who had a novel approach to colour engraving.

I was actually surprised by the quality. The material feels like it can handle the wash and the print seems to be set deep in the fibers. BUT I have not washed it yet. The printing was accurate and looks like it can handle washing.
