Pen your thoughts in this gorgeous spiral notebook adorned with watercolor roses and a quote from Jane Austen. The quote comes from Marianne in Sense & Sensibility: "What have wealth or grandeur to do with happiness?" (Volume I, Chapter 17) Of course, Marianne's idea of scraping by with the bare minimum requires 2,000 pounds a year and allows for servants and a couple of carriages, which Elinor points out most would still consider wealth. It's a great passage and -- even if Marianne has gotten things wrong -- a lovely quote. Watercolor roses taken from an original painting by award-winning artist, Carolyn Marshall Wright, member of Potomac Valley Watercolorists, signature member of Virginia Watercolor Society.
