    A 19th and 20th century African-American ragtime composer and pianist, born in Neosho, Missouri. He first started out as a song plugger, which lead to the publication of his composition, “A Summer Breeze.” He later moved to Kansas City, MO and taught music. He was also known as the Little Professor.
