Jacob Wrestling with the Angel, Gauguin T-Shirt
Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (7 June 1848 – 8 May 1903) was a French Post-Impressionist artist. Unappreciated until after his death, Gauguin is now recognized for his experimental use of colour and Synthetist style that were distinct from Impressionism. Toward the end of his life, he spent ten years in French Polynesia. The paintings from this time depict people or landscapes from that region.
His work was influential to the French avant-garde and many modern artists, such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. Gauguin's art became popular after his death, partially from the efforts of art dealer Ambroise Vollard, who organized exhibitions of his work late in his career and assisted in organizing two important posthumous exhibitions in Paris. The sizing on this t-shirt runs large and is short on the length for a tall man.
The cotton quality though, is excellent.
One complaint about Zazzle is, that at the same time on one order I ordered 3 items and each was shipped separately and arrived at different times.
Only the first item, which happened to be the cheapest priced item had a tracking number.
Since the 2nd and 3rd items did not have a tracking number I didn't know if they had been shipped or when they were arriving. I like to be home to when I know that I will be expecting parcels so that porch pirates don't steal the items from my front step. Thank goodness the parcels arrived without being lost in transit and port pirates were not pirating our area on the days that the 2nd and 3rd parcels surprisingly arrived. The printing was excellent and placed exactly in position as where I designed it to be.
I would buy another t-shirt from Zazzle with the printing on it.
