Jabberwocky Jigsaw Puzzle

11 x 14” jigsaw puzzle with a vintage image of the ferocious Jabberwock in the Tulgey Wood peering from behind a tree at Alice in armour. The Jabberwock is a fictional creature from Lewis Carroll's 1872 novel “Through the Looking Glass” and his whimsical poem “The Jabberwocky.” It is a large winged chimera (mixture of several animals) with the body of a dragon, a whiskered, fish-like head, insectile antennae and a pair of talon-like hands on both its arms and its wings, which also serve as forelegs when it walks on the ground. It also wears a vest and presumably lives in the Tulgey Wood until it is slain by an unnamed hero wielding a vorpal blade.
