About This Design
Italian Seamstresses and a Boy Having a Good Chat Kitchen Towel
This design features a painting by the Italian artist Eugene de Blaas (1843–1931). It depicts a group of women working on some sewing in the garden; they are chatting to a boy who is leaning on the back of a wooden chair. There is some fruit in a wicker bowl on the floor too, perhaps apples. The women look happy and animated as the boy entertains them with his chat. There is also another woman standing beside a nearby brick wall with her arms akimbo. In the background can be seen a pergola with ivy growing over it. The ground is dusty, but the women are wearing elegant dresses, and the boy is wearing a blue shirt and traditional hat, with a bandana or scarf wrapped around his neck. The original art was painted in 1905.

I was actually surprised by the quality. The material feels like it can handle the wash and the print seems to be set deep in the fibers. BUT I have not washed it yet. The printing was accurate and looks like it can handle washing.

This product is wonderful, washes well. The best tea towel for drying glassware. The printing is clear and does not fade
