Iron County Courthouse and Gazebo Tile
This magnificent antebellum structure is Iron County’s first
and only courthouse. It was built in 1858 with the designs of
Henry H. Wright. During the Civil War it was used as a hospital.
It received cannon fire during the Battle of Pilot Knob and the
cannon damage has been preserved. The Gazebo was built in 1899
and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
