Ireland National Flag, Irish standard, Banner Ceramic Ball Christmas Ornament
The Tricolor: A Symbol of Hope and Unity - The Irish Tricolor, a vibrant tapestry of green, white, and orange, has become synonymous with the Emerald Isle. This simple yet powerful flag carries within its folds a rich history and a profound symbolism. - A Rebellious Birth - The Tricolor was first conceived in 1848 by Thomas Francis Meagher, a young Irish nationalist. Inspired by the revolutionary spirit of the time, he designed a flag that would represent the aspirations of his people. The green stripe symbolized the Catholic majority, the orange represented the Protestant minority, and the white stripe signified peace and unity between the two. - A Symbol of Independence - Although the 1848 rebellion failed, the Tricolor persisted as a symbol of Irish nationalism. It was adopted by the Irish Volunteers during the Easter Rising of 1916, a pivotal moment in Ireland's struggle for independence. The flag flew proudly over the General Post Office in Dublin, the rebels' headquarters, and became a rallying point for the Irish people. - A Nation's Identity - In 1922, when the Irish Free State was established, the Tricolor was officially recognized as the national flag. It has since become an enduring symbol of Irish identity, representing the country's rich cultural heritage, its resilience, and its aspirations for a peaceful and prosperous future. - Today, the Tricolor flies proudly over government buildings, schools, and homes across Ireland. It is a source of pride for the Irish people, both at home and abroad. As a symbol of unity, hope, and independence, the Tricolor continues to inspire and unite the Irish nation. - This Irish Government or Oireachtas work is in the public domain.

These are beautiful. I loved them so much I ordered 8 to give to family as gifts. Unfortunately 2 of the 8 photos were not as I had edited and submitted and as a result they were either off centre or part of their heads were cut off. The printing in terms of colour was great. The centring of the a couple of the photo unfortunately were not as had been submitted. This happened in 2 of the 8 I ordered. Obviously I loved them, that’s why I initially ordered so many. I would order from them again however I would stress how important it was for the photo to be as requested.
