Before the media circus erupted over the authenticity of President Barack Obama's Hawaii state-issued birth certificate, the 2007 film "Superbad" brought the concept of fake Hawaii state identification documents into the pop culture spotlight. When one of the teen characters in the movie, Fogell, needed a fake ID to buy alcohol for his underage friends, he obtained a fake Hawaii driver's license featuring the name McLovin on it. He defies his friends' expectations and succeeds in using his obviously-fake ID to buy alcohol, just as President Obama got elected despite opponents continuing to question the legitimacy of his real Hawaiian birth certificate. This shirt combines the juvenile antics of underage teenage characters using fake IDs to buy alcohol in "Superbad" with the juvenile behaviour and beliefs of politically-active adults in the world today.
