Squirrels are technically considered rodents. The squirrel family includes tree squirrels, ground squirrels (including chipmunks and prairie dogs, among others), and flying squirrels. I went ahead and took this picture while this guy was enjoying some nuts. He didn’t seem to mind. This squirrel was hanging out at Silver Glen Springs in the Ocala National Forest in central Florida.
