I love poking around the urban landscape finding little pockets of scenery, or tiny replicas of larger designs ... such as this winter ice cavern, one of many caves and intricate openings that form in the piles of snow cleared from the roads. This year we had much more snow than usual, and plenty of freezing and melting cycles, which can break up the rocks in the earth, the foundations of homes, the structures of cold weather precipitation. The frozen cave is dressed with stalagmites and stalagtites of shining ice ... as you peer further back you see it`s gritty, real, urban nature at its finest ...!
