Horse Riders on the Beach in Tahiti (by Gaugin) Tile

This design features a painting by the French Post-Impressionist artist Paul Gaugin (1848–1903). It shows a group of Polynesian people riding horses on the beach in Tahiti. The sandy beach is painted a bright shade of pink, reflecting the natural colour of the sands in that region of French Polynesia. The sea in the background is dark blue with some white waves coming in and landing onto the beach. The women are fully clothed as they ride the horses, but the men have bare chests; they are strong and muscular. The original art was painted in 1902.
