This classic 60s barkcloth tropical leaf and flower pattern was captured from actual fabric curtains found at a garage sale. Barkcloth fabric, a textured heavyweight cotton, was popular for mid-century modern and Hawaiian print clothing, and upholstery and drapery, from the late 1930s through the 1960s. The pattern features red caladium and white orchid flowers, Sansevieria (snake plant) and large leaves and fern foliage. This particular pattern is called "Arcadia."
