Words are from Shakespeare's play As you like it (act 2, scene 7: The forest) and refer to holly's life-giving power even in the harshness of winter.
They also inspired English illustrator Walter Crane to make this delightful watercolor painting of a 'holly man' (Flowers from Shakespeare's Garden, c. 1906).
On the back side of the pillow you'll find the 'Heigh-ho words' in their context in Shakespeare's play.
