Holiday Denslow's Three Bears Ice-skating CC0887 Postcard

Holiday postcard inspired by a delightful illustration by American artist William Wallace Denslow (1856–1915). The picture comes from Denslow's Three Bears (1903) and shows a big bear, probably Papa Bear, joyfully ice-skating, while carrying little Golden Hair on his shoulder. The corresponding text in the book would be: The good natured bears were always anxious to please the children; they would get up games under the greenwood trees in the summer, and merry sports upon the icy lake or snowy hills in winter. They did their best to make life for all, one glad round of joy. I hope your holidays, too, will be 'one glad round of joy'!
