Hojo Ujiyasu Lion of Sagami Calligraphy Kanji Denim Jacket

北条氏康: Hojo Ujiyasu was the third head of the Hojo family, the daimyo of Odawara Hojo Clan, and biological father of Ujimasa Hojo and Kagetora Uesugi. Known as the "Lion of Sagami", he was revered as a fearsome warrior and a cunning man. He was said to have matched Shingen and Nobunaga's level of intelligence. He is famous for his strategies that defeated Shingen and Kenshin. 相模の雄獅: Lion of Sagami, was the nickname of Ujiyasu due to his excelent ability in both military and political, he successfully defeated the rival clan around his territory, and defends against the strong neighbouring clan including Uesugi and Takeda. In the background is the kamon (family crest) of Hojo, Mitsuuroko (三つ鱗) or “three scales”, below his name is the samurai signature of Ujiyasu, at the bottom is lion in japanese drawings.
