Hilma Af Klint Art Deco Swan Wall Decor Backsplash Tile

The swan symbol held great significance for Hilma af Klint, a spiritualist painter who was deeply influenced by the teachings of Helena Blavatsky, the founder of Theosophy. To Blavatsky, the swan symbolized the grandeur of the spirit, while in alchemy, it represented the union of opposing forces necessary for the creation of the philosopher's stone. In her series of paintings, af Klint combined traditional symbolism with her unique interpretations.
