“The Elliots were one of the most active, most powerful and most notorious of the Scottish Border clans,” the clan’s website says. Hermitage Castle, near Liddesdale, is located in a lonely spot and said to be one of the most sinister-looking castles ever built. The castle has inspired local legends of the wicked Lord Soulis, a magician who sold his soul to the devil, and of a giant with impregnable armour. I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
