It is part of the coat of arms of many countries, cities and regions (past and present) including but not limited to England,Scotland, Austria, Bohemia, Norway, Jerusalem, Leon (in old Spain, before it was Spain!), Finland and more. It is more common than other heraldic symbols because its meaning is larger, extending beyond heraldry to include heritage and chivalry. Customize to your liking.

The watch looks really great! Very sharp and well done. The leather band is really nice, though for a man's watch I think it should be longer. Unfortunately, it isn't big enough for my husband's wrist but I will get a replacement because he is very excited to wear it! Great packaging too. The printing looks fantastic!
