Hell's Gate National Park is unique among Kenya's parks for its dramatic scenery of towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, and stark rock towers. It is one of the few parks where visitors are encouraged to hike or cycle among wildlife like zebras and giraffes.
The park's geothermal activity is evident in the plumes of steam rising from the ground, harnessed by the nearby Olkaria power station. The spectacular Fischer’s Tower and the deep, winding Njorowa Gorges provided the visual inspiration for iconic landscapes in films like 'The Lion King'.
