Hebron, Israel Postcard
The first floor of Beit Hadassah was built in 1893 with donations from Iraqi Jews and served as a charitable organization. In 1911, another floor was added and the building was taken over by Hadassah and turned into a medical centre offering free medical services to Jews and Arabs alike. The building today houses a museum of the Hebron Jewish community.
