Harvest moon.. - Badge. Manipulated Photography. On my many wanderings to find more unusual places, one of the most fascinating building I have come across was Ashton Windmill. A tower mill in Chapel Allerton in somerset England. Set alone amongst beautiful open countryside, dominating the skyline this wonderful 18th century Windmill stands on the site of another windmill which dated back to medieval times. Modernized in the 1900 when machinery was added, bought from the Moorlinch Mill. It was restored in 1967 and listed a grade 2 building by the English Heritage who eventually donated it to Bristol Museum who now preserve it.
