The winter solstice (around Dec. 21-23) marks the end of astronomical winter because tonne Dec 25 the days start becoming longer with the promise of sunny days and the end of starvation due to the bitter cold. No wonder ancient cultures worshipped the sun as a god who was (re) born on or about December 25, with his promise of bringing "light and replenishment".
After thousands of years, this joyous day still commemorates the "birth" of our sun—not a son—which is the true origin of Christmas.
BUT... to most of us....this "joyous season" means scraping our car windows and shoveling snow!

I love this card. The graphics are on the inside and back of this card. It's superb. You won't find anything like this anywhere else. The card stock is thick and impressive and the colors were spot on. The colors were printed exactly as it looks online. The gold color looks like gold.

I really love this traditional icon Christmas card! The card really captures how I celebrate Christmas which I can share with friends and family. I especially love the back of the card as it states Merry Christmas in multiple different languages including Greek, Ukrainian / Russian, Arabic, French, English and more. This card is really something I am proud to send out during the holidays. The color of print on the card is brilliant and fantastic. The quality of paper used for the card. It actually feels like a proper Christmas card. If you want to spend money on some nice Orthodox Christmas cards, this is the one you want!

The card was perfect. It was so hard to find a Christmas card with a bunny on it. My girlfriend has a bunny and she was absolutely delighted with the card. She couldn't believe I was able to find one. I addressed it to Smore (bunny's name) and she said he was thrilled to get it and tried to eat it.
