This concave ceiling of the Hall of Mirrors envelope a vast space flanked by a wall of Venetian mirrors and doors echoing the shape of the mirrors, which overlook an ornate garden and let light in. The light of the sun (echoing Louis XIV, the Sun King) bounces from the mirrors back into the room to illuminate the highly ornate ceiling of paintings, including that of Louis XIV, from which crystal chandeliers hang and glow sumptuously at night from hundreds of candles.
