A view of the inside of the Ari-Sephardi Synagogue on the holy city of Tzfat (Safed). Add your own text. There are two synagogues in Tzfat which bear the name of the holy Ari (Rabbi Isaac Luria), one, the Ashkenazi synagogue was built two hundred years after his time,the other, the Sephardi synagogue was where he studied Torah and Qabbalah and prayed. The synagogue is the oldest in Tzfat dating from as early as 1522.
