Gruss vom Hexentanzplatz postcard

Here we have a fancifull scene of witches making merry on Walpurgis night. this vintage art was no doubt inspired by the 17th century German tradition of a meeting of sorcerers and witches on May Day which was in turn influinced by discriptions of 15th and 16th century literature on witchcraft from the church and folklore. the artwork is "Gruss vom Hexentanzplatz" (the witches dance) off a vintage postcard by LOUIS GLASER, CIRCA (1901-1907) it depicts a circle of women flying thru the air holding hands as other unsettling creatures appear in the sky witha creepy old mansion, castle or ruin in the backgound upon a mountain.
