1892, Wool and mohair; tapestry weave forest landscape with pear chestnut and oak trees, shrubs, flowers, and animals such as deer, rabbits, and a fox. flowers depicted include foxgloves, tulips, daisies, bluebells. Above the pear tree is banner bearing the inscription: "By woodsman edge I faint and fail, by craftsman's edge I tell the tale" The banner above the chestnut tree reads "High in the wood, high o'er the hall, aloft I rise, when low I fall." And above the oak tree: "Unmoved I stand what wind may blow, swift swift before the wind I go." I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
