Green Mill, Chicago, Vintage Neon Sign Postcard
The Green Mill is one of Chicago's best known nightclubs. It has been around for almost 100 years and at one time was a huge roadhouse that occupied almost the entire block. During the roaring 20's it was partially owned by Al Capone gunman "Machinegun" Jack Mc Gurn. Entertainer Joe E. Lewis got his throat slashed allegedly for quitting his gig at the Mill and signing up at a club owned by rival gangsters. It was alos blown up in the James Cann film Thief.
