This is a close-up detail photo of a single banana leaf, shot in my front yard. The crisp, precise lines and vivid colour capture my attention and I love the way the light hit that leaf the day I shot it. Most people have to travel to somewhere tropical and exotic to enjoy live banana trees. Through no effort on my part, I have the luxury of seeing them every day though I neither live in a tropical nor exotic location. My honey grows them and I photograph them!
