The idea that the Arizona Sonoran Desert is not green is put to rest in this photo of Tucson in Springtime. If the winter has given us an abundance of rain our Springtime can be quite lush. During our summers we get what we call our "Monsoon Season" with fantastic Columbus Nimbus clouds that give us exiting rain storms with thunder, lightning and heavy showers. They help turn the desert green. So, remember, the desert is green!
