Great Orion Nebula in Night Sky Jigsaw Puzzle
The Orion Nebula (also known as Messier 42, M42, or NGC 1976) and the Running Man Nebula (NGC 1973, NGC 1975, and NGC 1977) in the Orion constellation. M42 is located approximately 1,300 light years away and is the closest region of massive star formation to Earth. A photo from my minimal equipment astrophotography project during the summer of 2020, shot on a D850, 200-500mm Nikkor at 500mm, 60 x 20s exposures (plus 20 x 20s dark) for a total exposure time of 20 minutes.
