This is a lovely classic leaf form. Ginkgo trees are the only survivor of an ancient conifer, a living fossil. The leaves are beautifully fan shaped and turn a vivid yellow colour in the fall.<br><br>They were often depicted in Arts & Crafts style designs.<br>The Arts & Crafts style was in vogue at the turn of the century (last century) during the 1900's when William Morris, Gustav Stickley and Frank Lloyd Wright were at their height.
