The original photograph by ZoeSPEAK in this Poster/Print shows a Great Blue Heron foraging for food along the banks of a canal. We see the bird as he lifts his foot and points his beak toward his prey, his S shaped neck and white head with its dark blue stripe poised to spring. The heron's body, with its bluish gray feathers, stands out against the dark brown wood of the dock. A reflection of a white boat on the water shows off the bird's thin, dark legs. In the foreground of the scene, tall grasses grow at the edge of the rippled water. There is a wide white border around the photograph, with title and photographer's credit in small text under the photo.
