Does the famous “Nessie” lurk in the waters overlooked by Grant Tower of Urquhart Castle, former home of the Grant clan? The current structure dates from the 13th to 16th centuries and once featured a drawbridge and ditch for defence. The property figured prominently in the Scottish Wars of Independence and the Jacobite uprisings.
