My Paternal Grandmother was Phyllis Talla Johnson Westerfield, the eldest child of her mother Clara 'Claire' Sage Talla Johnson whose great grandmother was Susanna Christophersdatter Nitter Talle who was direct descendant of many ancient medieval and Viking Era kings of Norway through countless lines back. The direct descendants of those kings intermarried repeatedly in Norway. Thus, the family tree is extremely interconnected. This particular lady Gorvel Fadersdatter Sparre of Giske (died 20 April 1605) By Sudreim Claim Heiress of Norway and 3rd cousin of Talla Ancestors was a great land owner in Norway but she lived and built her own castle in South Sweden near Denmark and she had a close relationship in fact with the king of Denmark being a part of his court. During this time the king of Denmark ruled Sweden and Norway. Gorvel's parents and uncles and grandfather were all executed by previous kings of Denmark. It is highly likely that her son was killed as well. Her three husbands were all knights on the king's council of the realm. Her son had no chance. She was third cousin to our Talla ancestors. We shared direct descent from King Haakon V who died in 1319 through his eldest child Agnes who married the highest nobleman in Norway the Baron of Sudreim ... we descend from both their sons, whose descendants held the Sudreim Claim to the Throne of Norway.
