Good Morning Mug

Four very colourful, little Fischer’s Love Birds sitting on a flowering tree branch are singing “Good Morning” to you! This species, Agapornis Fischer, was discovered in 1887 by Dr Fischer in North Western Tanzania, south of Lake Victoria. The sexes are similar in appearance, basically green, with light green on the under parts. The forehead, cheeks and throat are bright orange, merging into yellowish orange on the breast and nape of the neck. The rump is violet and there are blue, orange, and black markings on the tail. The beak is red, the feet and legs grey. The irises are brown and there is a white eye ring. This species is fairly common in captivity, breeds readily, and a number of colour mutations have been developed.
