Goliath Beetles are among the largest insects in the world. They can be found throughout Australia. They are very able to lift a load around 850 times heavier than their own weight. We don’t really ride them. Beetles are holometabolous, that is their larvae (grubs) pupate before emerging as adult insects. Beetles, both adults and grubs, use their chewing mouthparts to eat other insects, fruit, nectar, leaves, fungi, dead animal and plant material, and/or wood. Protect the natural world.
