Golden Winged Scarab Fabric

The golden winged Scarab design has a golden background of the scarabs wings with “jewel” encrusted based on an ancient Egyptian designed wall and jewellery. The gem it is pushing is the setting sun. The Scarab design idea came while looking for designs for my sister who is passionate about Egypt. There is a photo of an engraving on the walls of an ancient Egyptian building this was one colour. I remembered hearing that originally the buildings would have been painted in bright colours or covered with gold so I searched to see what came up. The Egyptians also used this design in their jewellery which was encrusted with precious gems and stones. So I decided to combine the two ideas in this picture. Scarabs were very positive for the Egyptians. They are all about rebirth and good luck, renewal and a protection from the evils.

This fabric is a nice weight for making masks that hold up nicely. Absolutely LOVED this print! Customized it for my workplace and will be making masks for everyone! Printing turned out fabulous.
