Golden Echo of the Cathedral Square Wall Clock

The work shows a stylized representation of the Cologne Cathedral in a striking mixed-media technique. The most striking feature is the strong texture: the cathedral appears to grow out of the canvas, highlighted by thick structural paste and golden accents on the filigree Gothic arches and spires. The background is held in a deep, atmospheric petrol to turquoise tone, which becomes lighter towards the center and makes the cathedral shine like an apparition. At the lower edge of the picture, the solid structures of the foundation dissolve into organic, root-like golden threads, which contrast with the dark background.
