Goats Breeds Nubian Saasen Toggenburg Photographic Postcard

This photographic postcard features three charming goat breeds: the Nubian with its long, droopy ears; the pure white Saanen; and the Toggenburg, recognizable by its distinctive white markings, beards, and wattles. These dairy goats are part of the historic herd at Connemara Farms within the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site in Flat Rock, North Carolina. Once the residence of Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Carl Sandburg and his wife Lilian, the site is now managed by the National Park Service, preserving the legacy of their champion dairy goats.
