Delicate glass negative image from Wright Brothers Glider first flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in 1902. Minimal editing to preserve the authentic original.
The Wright Glider was rebuilt for this flight with a single rudder. Wilbur Wright, on the left, and Dan Tate assist the aeroplane as Orville Wright lies prone at the controls.
