Glam Retro Cocktail Party Hand-Drawn Bridal Shower Invitation
In tribute to retro 1960s Hollywood, I designed this Brunch and Bubbly invitation with my own hand-drawings of a vintage 60s yellow taxicab, champagne and cocktails, an aqua sleeping mask, and and an orange cat after the cat actor Orangey, in the Audrey Hepburn '60s film classic "Breakfast at Tiffany's." My own handsome cat, Jeoffry, modelled for me. The back of this flat card has a pattern made up of the different images, plus coffee and croissants. This carefree, unique invitation would be fun for an informal bridal shower or other gathering that celebrates that elegant retro party vibe.

Best feature is how customizable it is. We were able to incorporate our own graphics to best represent our wedding theme and colours. The card's sale price is good (less than $1.10 CAD each) and we got both sides printed. The quality of the paper surpasses our expectations; we are very happy with the thickness, texture and matte finish which makes it appear more professional than the standard thinner glossy postcard style that is so often used for wedding invitations these days. The print quality is good. The only thing we are not impressed by is with how dark the professional photographer's pictures printed. It is possible this is due to the original pictures and not necessarily the printing process, but they did print darker than anticipated.
