These long legs allow giraffes to run as fast as 35 miles an hour. Their tongues are 21 inches long. They are grassland animals. They eat hundreds of pounds of leaves each week only need to drink once every several days, since they receive enough water from leaves, and they travel miles to find enough food. The babies can stand in half an hour and run with their mothers an incredible ten hours after birth.
